Desanka Ilic, while being primarily a painter, has worked on fashion design projects (Stone Island, Paul Smith), which led to the development of The Good Machinery, a brand that incorporated high-end fashion accessories whose plasticity echoes her painting techniques. With the closure of the design projects in 2020, Desanka’s next artistic period was completely dedicated to painting/drawing narrative, intertwined with the idea of mere political functionality(dominance) and basic human problematics(empathy).
Born in Croatia in 1976, due to civil wars she emigrated to Italy mid 90s.
